Gold Beach is one of the best places in the world to unwind. Walk along a sandy beach to clear your head. Sit on a gusty bluff to watch the clouds pass by. Gaze into a tidepool till that starfish finally moves on. Cast your line with no cares beyond the bend in your pole.

Gold Beach has that kind of effect on you; it’s just the best escape.

On the other hand, it’s also one of the Northwest’s choicest bases for launching yourself into about anything you’ve been meaning to do someday: whitewater jet boating, kayaking, windsurfing, wilderness mountain hiking or biking, or maybe just seeing an eagle, otter or bear roaming free.

We don’t have a theme park or shopping mall in Gold Beach. It’s not easy to get here. Our travelers are people who think nature is the greatest show on earth.

The Southern Coast of Oregon is a place where the wilderness is fiercely protected. There’s nothing like hiking a trail where you’re surrounded by giant trees and almost complete silence. Limited access to the wild and scenic sections of the Rogue makes perfect sense once you’re gliding downriver between sheer basalt canyon walls.

Gold Beach is a quaint coastal town. You won’t waste precious time in traffic, waiting in lines or dealing with folks who’d rather be someplace else. Gold Beach is unspoiled and populated with people who share a deep passion for its rugged beauty.
